The Outer Farmlands was a section of pastures used for farming at Ōmizo in northwestern Ōmi, Japan.

In 1582, the daikan Okudaira Toshizo used his position to abuse the people of Ōmizo by forcibly confiscating their resources for his personal gain, as well as that of the Shinbakufu. The Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke soon tracked down Toshizo based on information from Lady Oichi's bodyguard Kuma. They found him at his estate on the farmlands indulging himself and promptly assassinated him.[1]
