The Officer's Club was a government building in the Karkh district of Baghdad, reserved as a meeting place for officers of the Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Rukh and Al-A'eshma, members of the Order of the Ancients, held regular meetings in the club with their correspondence Dogan bin Arslan.[1]
History
In the 860s, after helping the Zanj rebels to eliminate Dogan, the Hidden One Basim recovered a letter on his body which traced the two Order members' location to the Officer's Club. After returning to Baghdad, Basim infiltrated the club and eavesdropped on a meeting Al-Rukh and Al-A'eshma, revealing their identities as Turkic generals Jasoor and Nadir respectively. The two subsequently left the club upon hearing of Dogan's demise by their guard.[1]
