Nefertari was an Egyptian woman who served as the chief healer of Nitria in Saqqara Nome during the reign of Ptolemy XIII.
Biography
In 48 BCE, Nefertari found an unconscious and heavily wounded Medjay Bayek of Siwa outside the Bent Pyramid of Sneferu, bringing him back to Nitria to tend to his wounds. Trivia
- Nefertari wears an amulet of the hippopotamus-goddess Taweret. This was likely due to the belief that the goddess' mere likeness was able to ward off malevolent forces.
