Lucas Bellini was a Roman Master Assassin of the Italian Brotherhood traveled to Spain to assist the Spanish Brotherhood during the Reconquista.
Biography
Born to an Assassin family in Rome, Lucas Bellini developed an immediate kinship with the Ezio Auditore upon meeting the Florentine.[1] For this reason, he regarded it as a tremendous honor when,[1] in 1491,[2] Ezio invited him to Spain to assist in his mission against the Spanish Inquisition.[1]
A decade later,[3] Ezio arrived in Rome to launch a campaign against the ruling Borgia Templars.[4] By this point a Master Assassin, Lucas staunchly committed himself to this cause to revitalize the city.[1]
Personality and traits
Raised in an Assassin family, Lucas held the utmost loyalty to the Brotherhood he called home. Because of his convictions in the Assassin ideals, he bonded instantly with Ezio Auditore,[1] the Florentine who later became the Italian Assassins' Mentor.[5] To Lucas, Ezio was both a teacher and a hero, and his admiration and respect for him was so unyielding that he would never second guess his idol's orders.[1]
He extended this steadfast devotion to his fellow comrades as well, for though he was normally calm and affable, he was also fiercely protective of his comrades-in-arms. This attitude lent itself well to his juggernaut style of combat where he would use his resilience to shrug off mortifying wounds until his allies were safe.[1]

Behind the scenes
Lucas Bellini is a character introduced in the mobile game Assassin's Creed: Rebellion as an epic enforcer class hero. His model is based off of Lo Sparviero, the protagonist in Assassin's Creed: Identity with the outfit being virtually identical to that of the standard Berserker class outfit of Lo Sparviero as it appears in promotional material. This is in line with the other characters in Assassin's Creed: Rebellion whose appearances are largely based off of characters from other Assassin's Creed media as well, although Lucas is unique for not being modeled after a multiplayer avatar.
"Lucas" is derived from the Latin personal name Lucas (Greek: Loukas) 'man from Lucania'. Lucania is a region of southern Italy thought to have been named in ancient times with a word meaning 'bright' or 'shining'. "Bellini" is derived from the diminutive of the Italian word "bello" meaning 'beautiful'.
