The Jackdaw was a ship captained by the Assassin Edward Kenway, during his time as a privateer and pirate.

Schematics

The Jackdaw was a vessel that was 60 meters long, 48.5 meters high, had a width of 11.9 meters, and had 26 sails.was 60 Meters Long, When the ship was first in the possession of Pirate Edward Kenway it was only equipped with Six Cannons.

However under the captaincy of Edward Kenway the Ship was greatly upgraded, Kenway added; Swivel Guns, explosive mines, additional Cannons, Navel ram, Mortar and he even added a Diving Bell for under water exploration. Kenway also added three additional types of ammunition to his ship: Chain Shot, Heated shot and Heavy shot.

Kenway also improved the upgrades which both strengthened them and made them more effective in combat. Such as improved hulls, or reinforced cannons and shots.  

 

The jackdaw also had a large cargo hold which was used to store the loot that the crew pillaged from other ships and plantations. Also to the rear of the ship was the Captains cabin.

Trivia Like many other references to the Assassin Order involving avians, a jackdaw is a small, black bird belonging to the crow family. Coincidentally, the color of the bird's feathers themselves could also be a reference to piracy often being symbolized by black.
