The Inquisitor's scribe (died 1489) was a Spanish scribe who worked for the Spanish Inquisition under Tomás de Torquemada.
Biography
In March 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins eliminated a corrupt merchant and found a note in his accounting books detailing numerous payments of five thousand coins made to the scribe.[1]
Realizing the information a man who chronicled Torquemada's atrocities and secrets would have, they tracked down the scribe and assassinated him in order to retrieve his journal. [2] In his journal they discovered a lead regarding Torquemada's plans and how Inquisitor Gustavo Ramírez featured in them.[2][3]
