The Guardian (died 47 BCE) was the captain working for the Order of the Ancients in Alexandria, Egypt during the 1st century BCE. When the forces of Ptolemy XIII attacked Alexandria, Aya headed to the lighthouse to signal Julius Caesar's fleet, and faced the Guardian there. They fought while the large man hurled insults at Aya, and she responded in kind, killing him in the end.[1]
