Alexander III of Macedon, commonly known as Alexander the Great, was King of Macedonia and one of the most successful conquerors in history, conquering all of the Persian Empire and most of the known land at the time.

Alexander's explanation for success was a Piece of Eden: the Staff. In order to stop Alexander's misuse of the Staff and to acquire it for the Assassins, the Assassin Iltani poisoned Alexander, who died as a result on 10 or 11 June 323 BC.
