Gallus Mag was the very tall female bouncer of a New York City pub, The Hole in the Wall, during the 19th century. Known for her habit of biting off the ears of obstreperous customers before adding it to her collection that she kept in a jar of alcohol behind the bar, Gallus Mag was one of the most feared denizens on the waterfront and consequently figures prominently in New York City folklore.

In 1863, Gallus Mag was a friend of Cudgel Cormac, the barman of The Hole in the Wall and a Templar agent working for William M. Tweed.
