The Far East Company was a British trading company which operated in the easternmost region of Asia, commonly referred by Europeeans as the Far East.
In Portuguese Macau during the 1720s, the organization was represented by Alan Jacob who, under the Templars' influence, collaborated with Jan van Aert of the Dutch East India Company and Master Sun of the Hualien Trading Company to sabotage a rival trading company led by Madam Lee.[1] Under Alan's direction, the Far East Company secretly began trading illegal narcotics, which Alan hoped to frame Lee's company for. However, his plan was foiled by the Assassin Edward Kenway, who raided one of the Far East Company's ships smuggling the narcotics into Macau and exposed their drug trafficking to the public.[2]
