Ekdikesis Outpost was an abandoned fortification located in Saqqara Nome in Egypt.[1]
History
In 48 BCE, the hideout served as a refuge for Namrut's group of rebels who were retreating from an attack on a nearby Ptolemaic encampment. Seeking medical aid, Namrut visited the nearby natron mine, Nitria, to look for the mine's chief healer, Nefertari. However, Nefertari was busy tending to the workers in the mine and thus sent her assistant, Suphia, and the Medjay Bayek of Siwa to assist Namrut.[2][3]
Accompanying him to the fort, Bayek helped Namrut tend to the wounded, bringing them to the back of the fort so that Suphia could cover their body with natron to disinfect their wounds.
