Drakon was a poet who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, during the 1st century BCE.

He was regarded by Phanos the Younger as his "favourite poet", and counted the man a close friend; as such he was present at a party at Phanos' house when it was attacked by Gennadios' Phylakitai.[1]

Drakon was apparently very fond of wine, leading Phanos to remind him it wasn't meant only for his consumption.[1]
