El Cyrene Gladiator Arena era un estadio de gladiadores ubicado en Cyrene . Como una de las arenas de gladiadores ubicadas en Kyrenaika , era popular entre los ciudadanos de Cirene y la provincia.
Historia
El general romano , Julio César , desafió a la arena en algún momento, chocando contra Polimestor , un gladiador tracio . César derrotó al gladiador, eventualmente evitándolo y le dio una espada para significar su libertad. [1]
Algún tiempo después, el Medjay , Bayek desafió a la arena en 47 a. C., después de haber sido dirigido por Felix Martialis , el dueño de la arena en Krokodilopolis . [2] Bayek se enfrentaron con oponentes de varias partes de Europa , es decir, el martillo de Britannia , La ejes de Germania , El hoplita y el seléucida , tanto de Grecia y el Duelista de China,BritanniaGermania, derrotándolos con una variedad de armas. Instead, during this time the Cyrene Theatre was utilized by the Romans and was expanded in the 2nd century CE to serve as arena.[6][7][8]
