Meath (Irish: an Mhi) is a region of Ireland. It is located 38 miles from the capital Dublin and was once an independent kingdom for much of the Early and High Middle Ages.
In the late 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan visited Meath during her travels in Ireland.[1]
