Sylvi was a young Norse girl whose parents ran a grain farm in Ravensthorpe during the 9th century. She was often playing her brother Knud and Eira, daughter of Gudrun and Gudmund.[1]

- The name Sylvi is the Swedish and Norwegian variant of "Solveig", which is derived from the Old Norse elements sól meaning "sun" and veig "strength".
