Suika Lands was a melon farm located in the northern Yawata Plains in Izumi Settsu, Japan.

In late 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the farm to uncover the truth behind the rumor of the presence of a yōkai known as the "Bakemono", on behalf of the monk-turned-demon hunter Mamushi. At the farm, they found two farmers sparring and debating with each other.[1]
Meeting them, Naoe and Yasuke were asked about which melon they preferred. After answering, they were forced to fight and defeat the opposing farmer to honor the new "melon lord" of the season. Following their victory, both farmers returned to their affairs while Naoe and Yasuke were able to debunk the rumor.[1]
