Social Club was a term used to refer to cafés that functioned as part of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins's intelligence network in Paris during the French Revolution.[1] These satellite locations reported to the Café Théâtre, which served as the central clearinghouse.[2]

In 1791, the Assassin Arno Dorian became the steward of the Café Théâtre and began purchasing several coffee houses throughout Paris, on the advice of fellow Brotherhood member and café manager Charlotte Gouze. By expanding Assassin influence to other districts of the city, Arno managed to not only increase the earnings of the Café Théâtre,[3] but also cultivated allies and curbed the presence of Extremists in the area. The Assassin Council often issued missions for Arno through letters left at the social club closest to the action.[1]
