Isaac du Queyran (c. 1570[1] - 1609), also known as Nicodemus, was a member of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins and a friend of Catherine. In 1609, after Catherine was accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake, Isaac took in her daughter Margaux and trained her in the Creed.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

According to Inquisitor Pierre de Lancre's 1612 book Tableau de l'Inconstance des Mauvais Anges et Demons, Isaac de Queyran was around the age of 25 in 1609.[3] This is in stark contrast to how author Adrien Tomas depicts him in the 2022 young adult novel Assassin's Creed: Fragments – The Witches of the Moors, in which Isaac is written as being closer to 40 years old[1] and confirmed via interview to be 16-year-old Margaux's biological father.
