Hungladder

Hungladder is a village settlement in the northern part of Scotland's Isle of Skye.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 9th century, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir traveled to Hungladder to find one of the shards for the pedestal within the Cave of Gold. From her search, she found notes, which described how the artifact was plaguing the people of the settlement. She also saw how the plagued villagers killed one another and burned down each other's homes. From her inspection, she found the shard within a tunnel underneath the village. She retrieved the shard and left the settlement quickly afterwards.[1]
