The Gemad-Wulf

The Gemad-Wulf was a legendary wolf that lived in northern Lincolnscire, Mercia. An enormous wolf, this legendary animal was a unique find, due to its massive size and striped fur, when compared to the general populations of wolves in England.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 870s, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan travelled around the region of Lincolnscire. Along her journey, Eivor came across a hunting log, which gave an account of a wolf that was said to haunt the land on behalf of the crucified 1st century apostle, Simon the Zealot. Eivor looked around the ruins of Caistor Lupus in Lincolnscire and caught sight of the wolf surveying its land. Upon entering its domain, Eivor startled the wolf, which let out a growl before it ran to attack the warrior. Throughout the winded battle, the Gemad-Wulf howled on occasions for its fellow wolves to come and fight against Eivor alongside with it. After the lengthy battle, Eivor killed the creature and obtained its head as her prize.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The ruins the wolf lives in has a limited supply of winter chanterelle with which to replenish Eivor's health, increasing the difficulty of the fight with the legendary beast.
