Though at the time he reacted badly, seeing it as an affront to his authority, he later understood where she was coming from. In the spring of 1297, he welcomed Sören, his daughter, and his group of mercenaries and Scottish Assassin Deorsa into his home Dunstaffnage. However, the welcome was cut short due to the English at his door while Deorsa demanded to know where the Stone of Fal is.[1]
When the English attacked the fort, Alexander and his allies mustered enough of their forces to repel the first wave. Yet, he later saw Sören leave to find and recover the Stone. While telling Sören that he will take of Edan, his injured mercenary, he saw that Fergus and Kyle stayed to fight alongside him while the twins and Children of Fal Fillan and Ailéas joined Sören and Deorsa to go to the Stone.[2]
