Ake was a Norse resident of Ravensthorpe during the 9th century.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Together with Thyra, Braun, and Alwin, Ake lived at the Revellers' Hut in Ravensthorpe.[1]
Ake helped with organizing the seasonal festivals at Ravensthorpe, including Yule and Ēostre. As apprentice to Tekla he was often tasked with keeping an eye on her brewery. During the Yule festival Ake invited several bandits to drink some mead together. They got drunk, and when he woke up the mead barrel were stolen. He tracked the bandits to Utbech in Grantebrdigescire planning on fighting the bandits and bringing back the stolen barrel. When Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir tracked Ake, she defeated him in a fistfight to convince him to wait near his boat while she recovered the barrel.[2] After Eivor helped him, Ake decided to participate in the arena brawls.[3]
