"Geshu Han was single-handedly advanced by jiedushi Wang Zhongsi... and Wang Zhongsi was one of the Crown Prince's men."
―Yang Guozhong to the Golden Turtles at Mawei Station, 757.[src]-[m]

Wang Zhongsi (王忠嗣; c. 704 – c. 748), born Wang Xun (王訓), was a Tang jiedushi and politician who served during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong.

At a young age, Wang Zhongsi was taken in by the Emperor following his father's death, growing up alongside the Emperor's son, the Crown Prince Li Heng. As such, he was a close friend of the prince and often spent time at his mansion.[1] Some years later as a military governor, Wang Zhongsi was served by Geshu Han, who later became a powerful general late in Emperor Xuanzong's reign.[2]

In 757, at Mawei Station, during Yang Guozhong's conversation with Imperial Censor Wei Fangjin, Wang Zhongsi's name was brought up as the Golden Turtles sought to blame Geshu Han's defeat at Tong Pass on the Crown Prince, framing him as a conspirator with An Lushan for their failures.[2]
