Hey Cello.

Well before you banned me I asked you a question: How can I change? If you think I am kidding, no. You, Staff Members have the abuility to kick, mute, ban. But did you touth of one thing - Talking to me... Is it difficult to explain a kid, teen, teenager, half-man, puberty-prototype, Call as you like, how the F@#K is he annoying. Knowingly he didn't break any rules. I had a better message to post here, pity it was deleted. Maybe you are right... I am a stupid fag, with a stupid sense of humor and an habit to cry on shoulders of others... I admit - Happy? It's useless insulting me for a better change. And not all 13 year old kids are solitary, silent, educational, moral beings. Yes, right now I am putting all of my bad toughts here. Because it is difficult to think right when everybody in the class is taking 3 steps backwords from me and saying that I am annoying, or - IIuuuuuuuuuh, what's that? And I sit there thinking what the heck are they talking about... my teeth? glasses? nose? I was being me... I was being what I am all the time with my friends and familly. You aren't my familly nore my friends, altogh I thout you were, You are adults, not all but 17? 18? All the same for me. Just understand, if you were jerks in you're 13s 12s fine. But I am not. I tried the good way - asking. Nore this is the bad way...I am really angry of this web site... I want to hack it right away... But it would not change a thing, nore I can or do that. Try to enter a kids mind/body and think like me...If you still ... hear me ... just help me out, I have already a bunch of problems in my personal life and it's full. I want to start again, anew. But nobody gives me the push.

Thats something not only you, but even older people must learn: your personality, who you are, for that matter, is not and excuse for anything. People CAN change; they just don't want to.
As for your course of action now, it's not up to us to tell you. Your problem comes from the inside, you must find the answer yourself.

How did you become the bureacraut of this wiki?

Yes it does.
Glad you asked: about becoming the lovely Mentore of this place, it wasn't as simple as creating it and being given control, I earned it. Sit and grab some popcorn cause a tale is coming.

October of 2009, I was searching google for Assassin's Creed info and happened upon this wiki. It was abandoned, empty, with zero users, 7 articles and no activity, a "derelict" in the space of the internet. I entered, saw how badly the few articles that existed were and for the first time in my life, edited a article, something I've never done prior to that point. I started with Altaïr's page and spent a week editing and creating articles on wiki, virtually alone; not even anons edited this place. A couple of weeks later, I was contacted by a Wikia member saying that he noticed my edits, that he found them very good and offered me the post of admin on this empty wiki, and I took it.

I kept editing and working here, and during the month that followed, a handful of users started coming here and editing it, including two who would become a former and a current admin of ours. Over the time, the wiki kept growing, my edits attracting people and those people's edits attracting more people. I started implementing my ideas, which culminated on the creation of the Istruttorium, our group of moderators which at the beggining only had 5 users XD As the wiki grew amazingly in a couple of months, the same wikia staff member who gave me admin status praised me like hell, said I was "a natural leader and I restored a wiki that been dead for 2 years back to its feet in two months" and blabla =P and made me the bureaucraut, and that's a summary of how I got here ^^

From then till now, the wiki has growed even more. Lots of ideas and projects have been put in motion, hundreds of articles were created, I assembled a team of awesome people to be at my side as this wiki staff (and expanded it to what it is today) and we WILL. KEEP. RISING! (and one day, I'll rule the world)

Faction Page Formatting

Hey, I was wondering if there was a certain format or "Manual of Style" for the faction type pages. I was just doing a lot of cleaning up on the Thieves page and I wanted to know if there was a certain way the page was supposed to look, or if it was more or less up to interpretation; an "as long as it looks good and gets information across effectively it works" kind of view. new weapon articles

so, theres been a load of weapon articles up. shouldnt these just go into one page, titled weapons?

Hello there. Please sign your posts in future (using 4 ~s). Onto your question, with these new weapon articles, we can expand a lot more on the specific weapon without stretching the contents of the general weapons article. That article is used just for stats anyhow, these new articles will hoist trivial points, new information and possibly dense image galleries on the specific weapon. HQ Portal Logos

Heya Cello, I tried adding these old images to the frontpage portal, as they're more HQ and clearer than the previous ones, but whenever I do it, Wikia fucks up and stretches the logo.. sounds familiar, right? I don't know if someone has realized it before but I discovered three short pictures that were shown for only a few milliseconds in "Desmond's Journey Trailer".

I took three screenshots at the corresponding seconds when they were shown - they are all shown between second 54 and 55:

• The first scene shows the direction in which Desmond is lookin while he is hitting against the glass at the end of the trailer. ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/804/ssight.png/ )

• While he is doing that a writing saying: "Lucy. You will know the truth" appears for only a glimpse of a second. ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829/scene2theend.png/ )

• Only a second after that another writing is shown saying: "The end is the beginning" ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/scene3lucywriting.png/ )

I hope you like it because I love how Ubisoft is going the extra mile just to put somethig in a short trailer which could have remained unnoticed - they are just AWESOME!

Project Absolute Symbiosis

It seems that you're upset that I used your templates. (Since I credited you for the images.)
I understand that you may not want me to use your templates or images, again I need to stress that I wanted to use yours, only to make my wiki compatible with your wiki, and to feel like that mine is a part of yours.
You see I have stopped my work in the Persian wiki for 3 days. And If you don't want me to use your stuff, I will take them down myself. Since you asked Wikia to take down everything I stole from you, but Wikia has not done this yet, I want to tell you that must be because of Wikia's Licensing. According to the licensing, I can use content from other wikis while I must credit the author(s). Where such credit is commonly given through page histories, it is sufficient to give attribution in the edit summary, which is recorded in the page history.

But since you don't want me to use your stuff in the persian wiki, I will delete them, and I only want to ask you to unblock me. Since I thought I was acting according to the Licensing, and since anyone never warned me that I was acting in violation of it. I think I deserve a second chance. The problem is you took a lot of our stuff without ever mentioning us or linking to us in any way -- wikia licesing covers your case IF you had made very public that you had taken it from us, but you never even asked for permission -- you just took them. More important, to make your wiki "feel like it's part of ours", you need to ask -- we don't accept any person who comes over and says "yey, we're affiliated to ACWiki", you have to actually contact us regarding that first. You broke a lot of common sense boundaries, and while I get you may have done it with good intentions, the end does not justify the means -- as they say, "the road to hell is paved by good intentions". I am not unblocking you, and you may keep whatever you took from us as long as you have permission and credit it very clearly (like on bottom of pages). So, for Jasca's icon images, you must have his EXPRESS authorization of use, and the same goes to any other property taken from anyone here. I suggest that you lose the attitude, right now. What you neglected to link Cello to on the subject of licensing, was this. As far as I can see, you have no header of that sort on any of your pages, nor have you attributed to us in pages' history. You are not in the right here, so don't try to make it seem like you are, kiddo.
I'm sure if you'd gone through the proper channels, and requested that you use our articles, our background (poorly rendered), our theme, and our media, and stated that you wanted to be affiliated with us, I'm sure Cello would have had no problem with your wiki. However, for several of our Staff members to see that they have contributions there being the first way that we knew about you using our content is unacceptable. Rayne has issued a takedown request, on the grounds of your wiki not attributing to ours in any of the correct ways.
Moral of the story: Don't be a douchebag. Realise that you need to ask before using people's stuff. Having an attitude, and trying to make it seem like you are in the right about what is actually stealing, no matter whether it's licensed under CC-BY-SA or not - you didn't attribute - is probably the worst crime you've commited over the last couple of weeks. Personally, I'd suggest you apologise, properly, and admit that you were wrong, without the stupid, childish attitude.

I was editing the article Arthur Grosser earlier about the AC Lineage actor and AC2 voice actor, and I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how to cite websites. I used the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.com) which is a reliable source for information on him as he is an actor, but when I looked through the sourcing policies, but it doesn't mention anything about citing websites, so I was wondering if you could help me out with the sourcing for that article as I don't want to plagiarize.

I would like to start off by apologizing for my immature, horrible, and stupid behavior a few months ago on the account Altzio.

A few months ago the admin Assassin-Rayne banned the account Altzio for vulgar and immature language used in an overreaction to a simple situation. This account, Altzio, is one I created and used during the weeks surrounding my SAT test. It the time I used it to relieve stress, but on the particular day of the ban I was under a lot of stress and after I saw that someone revised my lackluster work, I overreacted and completely verbally attacked them. I attacked Il Lupo, Jasca Ducato, and Assassin-Rayne in a fit of rage when I was really just anger but I misdirected my anger at the SAT test towards them.

I know this sounds like a stupid and fake story, but I swear to you and everyone else that it is entirely true and I would just like for you to unban that account as it is registered to my main IP address, so that I can 1) apologize to Rayne, Jasca, and Lupo and anyone else on the Wikia that I hurt or offended and 2) so that I can add to the Assassin's Creed Wikia and help develop it like I have been on this current account.

Please Cello, give me one more chance and I swear to you that I will attempt to contribute fully to the Wikia and never use such immature and dramatic behavior like I previously did.

Dear, DCello in light of the events on the IRC I would like leave you a letter of apology. I really dislike that I must leave but, my experience on the IRC was terrible. I have nothing against any user on the Wiki opposed to my behaviour towards thus. But I only treat people the way they treat me. I know this message will make me look like a manipulative douche who does not his place but this is place of a few standards some users have shown. The way I see is as such. One user told that newcomers don't start with any respect but most earn it. But this philosophy is wrong and troublesome. Newcomers are confused and don't understand the norms of the wiki or any of the admin, same goes with the Vice Versa. Which makes the user.... troublesome. When one is treated badly they will act out on others, making it harder for the admins. I do not want to leave but no one likes me. I dislike causing people distress. Now let's go to humour. I know it was a joke. But everyone has a different definition of joke. Some may find it funny to be kicked other individuals such as myself find it not only not funny but rude. This has to stop. Now lets go to racism. French Canadians are very sensitive with the word "frenchman" because of our history. Read up on it. I also dislike when people kick me and call me frenchman. I am Canadian not french.

That is an utter disregard of my culture, ethnic backround and people. I will not be bullied, disrespected or harrased. You can remove the spacing between the table data. To do so change the table attributes in Template:Portal/Main from padding=5 to padding=0. You can also change border=0 to border=1 to see where exactly the spacing is coming from - is it the margin, padding or the transparent border. I can tweak it around, is it alright if I play with your sandbox?

As for making the portal wider, the system is designed to be 100% wide. So that means that if you move it far down enough, it will automatically take up 100% of the width. However, this brings me to my next point.

I believe the current portal style would be a lot more UI friendly if it uses a minimalistic interface. On DA we keep the size of the icons down and use text links as for a picture + text element. If you decide to go full and heavy on graphics, you may want to consider changing the design of the portal so it doesn't look so cluttered. For example, you can break it down into Main (first slider) containing just "AC3", "Games", "Community" and "Wiki". This assumes that most people visit the site for the latest and greatest AC. Then you can break down all the games further on the second slider page. The community can also be broken down into a sub page with icons. So something like this

1. Main
   1. AC3
   2. Games
      1. AC1
      2. AC2
      3. AC3
   3. Community
      1. Forums
      2. Administrators
      3. etc

Once you get to that many sliders, you will also want a backlink to the main page. And, if you remove the left and right button, you can essentially have a tree slider.

For example

AC2 contains a "back" link to Games. Games contains a "back" link to Main. That way, a reader can click from Main to Games, then from Games to AC2. Then back up. Does my description make sense?

I put together the prototype. I still like the idea, but the colors don't seem to go together. The proof of concept pictures consists of black lines, very squarish shapes; while the style for the sliders is roundish, and is sky blue. I think if you change the background of the slider to black, it might work.

The other option is to remove the background black from the proof of concept pictures and make each image unconnected from each other. Keep the layout, but have each element stand alone like Dragon Age Wiki. I hope this made sense. I can explain it differently if it doesn't. -- tierrie talk contr 20:51, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

You're doing it right. You should see the entire portal section turn black with the sky blue borders. If you don't, I suggest holding shift and left clicking the refresh button and/or delete your cache. You also need to be logged in, in case you weren't.

I agree that the black with sky blue borders is going to be a theme contrast - but your entire sites is designed with sky blue as a primary color so it would be challenging to find a color that fits. You could alternatively mellow out the sky blue by making it more transparent or making it a darker variant of sky blue. I'd do that by enter the color code into a program like photoshop and then dropping it's luminosity down. Anytime you see a reference to rgb(#,#,#) that is a color in red/green/blue. Change that to alter the color, then add !important to the code. For example

Hey! I'm glad you choose to update your front page instead of finish that dreary essay. I looked at the changes you made and as you asked, here's my opinion on it - I like the idea of affiliate links. However, when I look on the front page of the AC Wiki, I see that it takes up roughly 15% of the screen space. When I scroll down, it becomes the middle 1/3 of the page, and draws the reader's attention away from the sides. Your content.

I would shrink each of those image to roughly half the width and do two a row. Then I would tuck them somewhere unobtrusive so your contents remain the primary focus of the page. Either the bottom right so it is all the way down. Obviously, this means I can't publish the remainder of the sections, clean up what's there, add images, and generally tidy up my assignment... This, my friend, is what I believe is called 'fucking shit'.
The most annoying thing is, I have finished all the words, have a list of images to add, and another list of other things that need doing... on my hard-drive, which is in the clutches of my tyrannical mother.
I have no way of accessing and publishing all this until next week sometime...
I don't know what to do... D:
The only bits that are on the wiki are here, and it's all incredibly rough/ half done... I can get on the IRC to talk - I have an app for it... But other than that, I'm powerless over this situation.

a minor oversight

the marriage between Giovanni Auditore and Maria de' Mozzi:

on the Maria page, it states "...shortly after their marriage in 1450..."

on the Giovanni page, it says "...married her in 1452, four years later had their first of four children..." that first child Federico, was born in 1456.

Gaming release calendar testing

Hey there, my name is Tae and I am Wikia's category manager for the gaming vertical. Just wanted to give you and the other admins a head's up that this wiki has been chosen to receive the new gaming release calendar widget, which is designed to give our users an at-a-glance calendar so they can keep track of upcoming releases (such as the next AC title). It will nost likely reside between the ad slot and news feed on the main page. The widget itself is designed to be unobstrusive, so please don't be concerned that it will mess up the look of the overall site (users can expand it by clicking on it if they wish).

We are hoping that testing it on a few popular wikis will give us some data that we can use to improve the product; to that end, if you or the other admins had any input, we'll gladly listen. You can leave me a message on my talk page.

I also wanted to see if you guys would be interested in working with us on a small giveaway to coincide with the launch of the new game. Thanks for responding back so quickly. Currently, the plan is have the calendar populated by someone on staff, but you can rest assured that we will be fairly comprehensive, especially when it comes to a big franchise like AC. It's going to be limited to releases for now, but we are definitely considering opening it up to include things like anniversaries ("Assassin's Creed 1 released ten years ago today"), key dates like betas and events, among other things.

As for the giveaway, we can discuss the finer details later down the line when the game is close to launch but we should be able to include UK residents as it is very simple to purchase games from an online UK retailer. We will have to be careful as the game is M rated, so we have to restrict it by age, but we can definitely chat more and figure something out. I will also want to work with you to try and convince Ubisoft to do something fun with us. They're just down the street from our offices and I have contacts so hopefully, we can make something happen.

Background Image

Well since the theme designer supports only images upto 100KB, I had to overwrite it using the CSS. I removed the link there, so it must use the default image from the theme designer now. --Vatsa^Gentek 03:06, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
