This is an attempt at assembling a timeline for Assassin's Creed: Mirage by combining historical events with notes that are dated in-game.

Notes and historical references

• 11 December 861 (Al-Mutawakkil's death) – Basim kills al-Mutawakkil, whose first son al-Muntasir is elected Caliph on the same day;
• 11 Dhu I-Qa'da 247 –> 20 January 862 (The Physician's Ledger) – the note the Physician was killed by the Bimaristan's assassins around January 862 which is possible since his operation could've easily run by itself after this time; it is also worth of note that his body has not decomposed by the time Basim finds it around June of the same year, so it fits;
• February 862 (Basim's training in Alamut) – Basim is training at Alamut as of two months after he assassinated the Caliph; he reads a note describing Abu 'Abdallah's (Al-Muntasir's younger brother) indignation over being passed over in succession in favor of his cousin, Al-Musta'in, given the first's state of looming death due to an "illness";
• 8 June 862 (Al-Musta'in's rise to power) – After al-Muntasir's death in 7 June, Al-Musta'in is elected Caliph before Basim arrives in Baghdad (given the notes in the Harbiyah bureau that mention his position being contested by Abu 'Abdallah);
• June - December 862 (Basim's hunt for the Order of the Ancients) – Basim assassinates Al-Ghul, Al-Rabisu, Al-Pairika and Al-Mardikhwar over the course of this timeframe;
• 11 Shawwal (248?) –> 12 December 862 (Resignation of Abu 'Abdallah) – Muhammad ibn Tahir manages to make Abu 'Abdallah sign a letter of resignation as part of Al-Bahamut's agreement to make him withdraw the Tahirids' protection from Alamut; the pretender to the throne is exiled (this event is dated in al-Musta'in's page in Wikipedia as before 863);
• December 862 – Basim sneaks into the Shurta Headquarters to recover possible evidence of Muhammad's involvements with the Order;
• December 862/January 863 – Basim kills Al-Bahamut and stops the attack to Alamut by the Caliphal forces.
