Overview
Before reveal Before his disappearance, Ali and the Rebels were helping Nur uncover more about the Order's influence over Baghdad.
After reveal Ali was captured and is being held in the Damascus Gate Prison, where he's being questioned about the Hidden Ones.
Clue Summary Description
Conversation with Nur It's suspected that the Order is behind Ali's disappearance. Ali and Nur were working together to uncover more about the Order's presence in Baghdad when he was captured.
Scribe's Notes A list of prisons. It seems these listed prisons have symbols associated to them.

Clue Summary Description

Al-Ghul's true identity is Mas'ood Al-Ya'qoob.

Overview
Before Reveal A presumed Order member reigns over Baghdad's prisons, forcing enemies of the Caliphate to work their dig sites.
After Reveal Al-Ghul was revealed as Mas'ood Al-Ya'qoob, a soap merchant who uses migrant laborers to dig alongside the imprisoned.
Clue Summary Description
Conversation with Beshi The Order member is named Al-Ghul. Ali was marked and sent to be interrogated about the Hidde Ones. One of the captives revealed what Ali's mark looked like.

Zahra, the scholar woman who kidnapped Hunayn.

Overview
Before reveal The Caretaker's murderer seems to be a woman. Did she try to cover something up?
After reveal Zahra imprisoned Hunayn and made him translate an odd book. She seems to be an influencial individual.
Clue Summary Description
Piece of Fabric The person behind the bonfire might be female. A piece of fabric from a woman's gown found in the dead librarian's grasp.
Freeing Hunayn Hunayn's kidnapper and a murder suspect. Hunayn told me that someone named Zahra imprisoned him and forced him to translate a mysterious book, but he could not.
Book Deliveries Zahra seems to reside at the Scholar's Estate. Zahra wants the additional books taken from the House of Wisdom to be delivered directly to her personal residence at the Scholar's Estate. Do not bring them here.

He catalogues and tends to all the books in the House of Wisdom. Supposedly, no volume comes or goes without his knowledge.

Book Burning The Caretaker might know more about the fire. Fazil knows nothing. I remember from my wanderings that there is a Caretaker of Books in the House of Wisdom. He could help.
Missing Books The Caretaker works in the library's southwest wing. Please locate the following books and return them to the Southwest Wing as soon as feasible:

You must also return the ancient manuscript written in an unknown tongue.

A place to copy precious books by hand, one at a time.

The Mansakh or Scriptorium is where scribes laboriously copy books by hand, one page at a time.
Clue Summary Description
Last Words The Caretaker of Books alluded to this place. The Caretaker wrote the word "Scriptorium" in his own blood.
Guards chatter There is a prisoner being held in the Scriptorium. I heard the guards discuss a captive scholar locked up with some books somewhere in the Scriptorium.

The Kahraman's Clues Fazil Fahim Al-Kemsa is Al-Rabisu. I saw Fazil flee the Symposium in terror after learning about the assassinations of Zahra and Doctor Hassan.
The Great Scholar's Location A hatch in the outer courtyard could lead to Fazil. I have discovered that the Great Scholar could be in a basement accessible through a hatch in the western courtyard.
The Great Scholar's Office Entry to Fazil's office requires a password. The Great Scholar's office can be entered by providing the correct password to the Gatekeeper.
Those Who Came Before Are Those Who Shall Return The password is Those Who Came Before Are Those Who Shall Return. "... The many stars in the sky offer a riddle, a puzzle, but one that should only be considered by great scholars gathered in a luxurious House of Wisdom, protected by guards, well-funded with the latest instruments. This village is home to both the very wealthy and the very poor. Many Zanj rebels are here.

A Zanj widow's son has gone missing, like the others. She is at a farm west of the teamhouse.
Clue Summary Description
Teamhouse Talk The son of a Zanj widow is missing. Several more slaves have gone missing, one of them the son of a Zanj widow from a nearby farm.
A Missing Son The Widow's Son has disappeared in the night. After his father's death, the Widow's Son went out one night and did not return.
Son's Letter The Widow's Son has gone to a nearby farm. I have seen mercenaries go in and out of that farm. They must be the ones who took Father and the others. I am going tonight, and will see what I see.

The harbor and everything in it is under your control. I hold you personally responsible for what passes through it. I expect a full accounting of everything that hjs gone in and out of Sharqiyah in the past year on my desk when I return.

Warlord Wasif Warlord Wasif Al-Turki is Order Member Al-Mardikhwar. Fuladh deduced from the notes found on Al-Rukh and Al-A'eshma that their leader Al-Mardikhwar is Warlord Wasif Al-Turki.

Clue Summary Description
Visiting the Grand Auction I need to find a way into the Grand Auction. Rebekah talks of a Grand Auction happening soon. The only way to get to my target in Karkh is through the auction.
Confiscated Goods Kong is willing to help me get into the Grand Auction, but not for free. Kong's goods are being held at the warehouse. He needs my help to retrieve them ... nothing new.
Da'irat Al-mal Invitation With Kong's help, I obtained an invitation to the Grand Auction. .

Ning, The Treasurer of Karkh The Treasurer's name is Ning, and she is particularly taken by the Qina. After speaking with the mysterious woman, I learned that the Treasurer is a woman named Ning. She is fond of the Qina.
Auction Artifact Obtaining the Hairpin will help get a meeting with the Treasurer. We confirmed that the target will attend the Great Auction. It seems the target will bid on a precious foreign artifact - a Hairpin.
An Exotic Artifact The hairpin coveted by the Treasurer will be at the Grand Auction. The hairpin the Treasurer wants slipped through the Order's hands and will be sold at the Grand Auction.
Al-Pairika Identity Ning, the woman pulling the string in Karkh. Treasurer Ning, also known as Al-Pairika, leads the Order in Karkh. She is behind the corruptions and illegal taxation.
Chamber Entrance Requirements A brooch is required to gain access to the Treasurer's Chamber. Proof of status and a gift must be presented before one can enter the Chamber of Antiquities.
Dragon Brooch An item allowing access to locations within the Bazaar. A brooch belonging to members of The Ivory Coin, an exclusive merchants' guild.
An Exotic Hairpin A hairpin that the Treasurer desires. A precious hairpin of ancient Chinese origin, finely ornate, coveted by the Treasurer.

Before reveal An influential figure has been devising ruthless taxation systems in order to extort coin for the merchants of Karkh.
After reveal Suhail, also known as Al-Anqa, is a corrupt official who uses his great power to extort coin from the merchants of Karkh.
Clue Summary Description
The Warning Gift The horse head served as a warning. Witnessing the brutal execution of the horse has scared the merchants.
