Water Mill

The Water Mill was a mill located on the outskirts of Baghdad, situated northwest of the city.
History[edit | edit source]
In the 860s, the Master Assassin Roshan met with the Zanj rebels at the water mill, where they awaited the news about the rebellion's leader Ali ibn Muhammad. Ali arrived some time later, following his rescue by the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq from the Damascus Gate Prison, with Basim himself arriving soon after.[1]
After Ali spoke to his men, he and the Hidden Ones retreated into one of the buildings to discuss their findings on the Order of the Ancients member known as "Al-Ghul". Soon, Ali, Basim, and Roshan were able to identify Al-Ghul as Mas'ood Al-Ya'qoob, a wealthy soap mill owner, just as Ali's second-in-command Beshi returned from his mission to spy on Al-Ghul. After he provided a description of the man and his location, Basim and Roshan left the mill to assassinate Mas'ood.[1]
