MP Characters[edit source]

I was reading through the pages for the MP characters - the "real" versions that the characters are based off of - and I noted that Caleb Garret (the Sharpshooter) and Atasá:ta (the Silent Shadow) are both assassins. I do not believe that they are in the ACIII SP (I haven't had a chance to play it yet), but as they were assassins at the time of the American Revolution, and they are in the game as MP characters, should they be included on the list of Assassin's in this template? The same question goes to the other MP characters, whether Templar or not, who appear in the SP as people Connor kill. A.J. two (Mass Effect: New Genesis) 21:19, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Being an assassin, and being an Assassin are two different things. Do you have a source that states either of these two individuals are named as such in-game? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 21:25, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
It is mentioned on both of their pages (Here and Here), and I do not know the source, as I did not put the information there, but, seeing as the info on these pages is info released officially by Ubisoft - I read the news articles about it, but they do not mention any characters being Templars or Assassins - I would assume this is the "updated" info you receive about the characters after getting the hacked stuff from Erudito. Of course, as I said, I have not yet played, so I do not know if any of this info is true. However, if someone who has played knows whatther or not this is stated in-game, then they'd be the ones to ask about sourcing - perhaps the person who added that info to the pages in the first place?
EDIT: Ah, I went back through the history, and I was right. Slate Vesper was the one who added the info (as can be seen here), so this is legitimate information. However, my original question still stands: should they be included in the list of Assassins? A.J. two (Mass Effect: New Genesis) 21:36, November 5, 2012 (UTC
No. Just because Slate added the information does not make it legitimate. A source makes it legitimate, of which there is none (at least, none given). Also, try to remember that our articles are not, in themselves, sources. You cannot say "X was an Assassin because Y's article says so", there has to be a source with the information. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 21:47, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
Alright, just making sure. However, the reason I pointed to that specific edit was because Slate stated as the reason for the edit that it came from the Erudito hacks within the Multiplayer. I do not see why Slate, as a member of the Bureau, would add false information - especially as he has removed a lot of unsourced content from other pages, IIRC - but I will respect the rules of the wiki and wait for a source (if there is one) before asking again. Don't mistake me. I never said Slate was adding false information; just that the information he added was not sourced and, as such, destined to be removed from the articles. I have no problem with these two individuals being added to the template if the articles are sourced correctly. Strictly speaking, however, since they didn't actually appear in-game, I'm not entirely sure they should be in the box at all. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 12:59, November 7, 2012 (UTC)
I have since attempted to clarify the information I have added, but if there's a character that I have yet to source the information to, please leave me a message on my talk page. Slate Vesper (talk) 15:51, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
