Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple

Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple was a Buddhist temple located in the eastern section of The Warfields in Harima, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke arrived at the temple after learning of a possible lead to the Ox. Arriving there, Bessho soldiers held the temple's abbot and his fellow monks hostage. Defeating the soldiers, the pair rescued the abbot and monks and asked about the Ox. The abbot explained that he was Bessho Harumasa, how he will be here later and to save Nakamura Tadashige, who tried to help them. Later that night, the pair saw Tadashige and other temple monks captured, led by The Tsuno, the Ox's champion. Harumasa then came and offered them a choice to either join his cause or die.[1]
After Harumasa left, Naoe and Yasuke ]rescued Tadashige from the Bessho warriors and then they all reconvened near a pagoda. Naoe and Yasuke asked Tadashige for any help but the former lord admitted that his fighting days were over but will help if they find more information before leaving for Kyokaiji Temple.[1] While there, they collected three lost pages scattered across its ground while Naoe later climbed its tallest pagoda and surveyed the land.[2]
