Given the fact we have an article on the guy, Sun Yat-sen features in the second issue of Assassin's Creed: Templars, a graphic novel published by Titan Comics. It does not currently specify whether Yat-sen is a Templar or not, but rest assured that if he is established to be one or not in the Assassin's Creed lore, it will be reflected on his article. I think that Chinese Templars (Left wing of the Kuomintang and CCP) advocated the United Front which united KMT and CCP to against the warlord.  Sun's wife, Soong Ching-ling, opposed the violent suppression of CCP.
