Talk:Noob's personal files
datamined text[edit source]
Found these in the file that obviously are related to the diary entries just not sure if it is OOU or IU:
- Welcome to Abstergo Entertainment. Get to know your supervisors as you settle into your new job!
- Week two at Abstergo Entertainment. Just getting settled in, meeting my colleagues, and archiving some amazing footage of Edward.
- Week three and all is well. At Olivier's request, I should be searching Edward Kenway's memories for the Observatory. But John from I.T. continues to pester me with menial tasks. Melanie seems optimistic about the whole project.
- Week four and things have taken a frightening turn. Suspected of being a hacker (which in some sense, I am) my superiors have placed me under house arrest in an area they call "The Bunker." As all this is John's fault, I'm hoping against all odds that he helps me out of this situation.
- Week five at Abstergo Entertainment. John has been caught and killed, and all suspicion of me has been wiped away. But this rogue A.I. entity named Juno is on the loose and eager to cause trouble. I barely made it out of that interaction alive...
- Hacked is such a strong word. You're testing! Hammering away at our infrastructure and finding weak points for the sake of our security. Keep telling yourself that and you'll be fine.
- Strange sticky notes containing the ravings of one very active mind.
- Computers hacked: %d / %d
- If you'd like to enjoy a little extra prestige among certain VIPs who shall remain anonymous, you could try digging around your colleagues' computers for extra information. Let's not call it "hacking", obviously. Let's call it…"whistleblowing".
- sticky notes collected: %d/%d
- Collect all the sticky notes hidden throughout the building. Do it. Please. They contain some very wise and timeless instructions for living a more fruitful and profitable life.

Found these as well although this might actually be ambient dialogue:
- Bienvenue!
- Congratulations on your recent contributions to Abstergo entertainment. We hope you will consider training for possible future advancement. Many training options are available, depending on career goals, be they in management, security, marketing or creative.
- ATTENTION: Throughout the week, window cleaners will be active outside the building on all floors. Please take extra care to maintain the confidentiality of your research, and report any anomalous behaviour to Security or a manager.
Everyone, let's all give Olivier and Abstergo Entertainment a big cheer as he heads off to Chicago for the shareholder's meeting. We believe in you, Olivier!- Q: What do you get if you cross a cat with a parrot?
A: A carrot!

(>o<) - Good morning! I'm so glad you're joining us. I'll go through everything you need when we meet today, but if there's anything else, I'm always here.
Welcome to the team. We should have lunch some time, once you're settled.Ahoy, mate. Welcome to the good ship Abstergo Entertainment, where everything is always jolly and we all love our work to death. Glad to have you aboard. I hope you're fun. The last guy was a little dull, and well... just kidding. See you around.I just wanted to say it's so good having a new face on the team. This is a great place to work, but some people can get a little negative at times, if you know what I mean. Let's get a coffee later!Nice meeting you. If you have any problems with your Animus, feel free to shoot me a message. I don't extend this privilege to everyone, but Melanie tells me you know your stuff. Good enough for me.- Bonjour! Could you come up to my office for a quick chat. I have some news for you, and it would be great to talk face-to-face. --O
- Let's all give a round of applause to our newest member, for an important discovery today!
- Wow, that must have been something special you found. If they give you a cash reward, I'll be first in line when you buy us all a round :-D
So… what is it?
No really… tell me. Please???? - Q: Why did the whale cross the ocean?
A: To get to the other tide.

I know, I know. I'm hilarious. Hey there buddypal, what's that they've got your researching over there? Hush hush? Top Secret? Good for you, you Abstergo protégé, you. At least they trust SOMEONE. Glad it's you.- Due to the recent data leak, new security measures will be instated. Please remember to follow all guidelines concerning your Communicator, cubicle, and as always, honour and respect your NDA.
- A number of colleagues have recently accepted voluntary separation packages, or transfers to other subsidiaries of Abstergo Industries. Please wish a warm goodbye to Sari Yonge, Scout Smester, and Kloé Lesney. Bon Voyage!
- You have been granted Security Level 2.
- Ever notice the weird vibe in this place? I'm serious; it's not all sushi and lattes. I think we had to leave our old office because it was haunted. No seriously though; why does a company that's only TWO years old have the resources for an office this size. (Not to mention the AQUARIUM ELEVATOR? That's some sensible spending right there.)
- I was just out for a walk around the atrium, and I gotta ask, have you noticed all the cameras in this place? Why do they need to watch us so closely. We're making GAMES, for crying out loud. Not weapons or something. What's your take on all this?
- You have been granted Security Level 3.
- WHERE ARE YOU? Did they put you in one of those cell things too? Are those even real? I don't even know what to believe. Am I seriously just supposed to sit here working calmly, not knowing what's going on? This is RIDICULOUS.
- Everyone, I know this is a trying time. I'd just like to reassure you that our work is safe, we are safe, and everything is going to get back to normal soon.
PS: I've got a box of Turkish Delight in my desk if anyone wants some. - YOU'RE STILL GONE! I just want you to know that someone noticed. I probably won't still be here when you get back. I'm not a climber like you. I'm outta here. I'm quitting. If you need me, I'll be in a shack, north of Tremblant, off the grid, with a stack of books (ON PAPER) and a shotgun.
- Following the satisfactory resolution of an earlier security incident, emergency measures put in place will now be removed. Thank you for your patience.
Although this matter is resolved, we encourage you to continue practicing good security: avoid unapproved web sites and communication channels, never share your communicator, keep to your own work area and common areas, and respect your NDA. - John Leaving
So that's it? No explanation? We just keep going and hope nothing like that happens again? How can this even be legal?
Oh well. Another day, another dollar.Yo, that was seriously messed up, I agree. But come on, we get to make GAMES. Isn't that worth a little weirdness sometimes. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.I understand, we're all a little on edge. I hope you all take the coming long weekend to relax, unwind, breathe easy, have a little fun. When we get back, we have some major butt to kick, so I want you all bright and ready. You know where John went? I got a bad feeling about this one. If you knew something you'd tell me right? Or have you become one of THEM?We all know this is a great place to work, but it's natural that people move on to pursue other interests. Let's keep the gossip to a minimum and focus on what's important: great games.- We have been working on programs to help improve our ability to locate employees within the building and at long range.
In light of recent anomalies, we will be conducting employee localization interviews, in the aim of extracting information that may aid in narrowing down the locus of individuals currently unaccounted for.
Additionally, if you have any information that may be of interest, please step forward, or speak to your manager.

- These are all written in-universe. The ones I've put in strikethrough are from Noob's messages and the "Week X at Abstergo" messages look to be early iterations of their diary messages. Pretty sure the others are other messages we forgot to copy over, especially Olivier's "can we talk in my office?" note, though I can't verify this since I don't have the game. – Darman (talk) 12:50, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
Just putting an {OpenTalk} here so we can copy/paste these bullets if we find the docs in-game later. – Darman (talk) 13:30, 14 October 2024 (UTC)- I wonder if the first set of bullets are from the diary before each MD section is completed? Not sure about the missing points from the second set. This might actually need a replay to check. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 03:25, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

Fix Abstergo pack?[edit source]
The 7th file in Abstergo Industries section is a dossier on Berg. The images are in the correct order but the text after the first three is out of order. This is reflected in game but should we fix it? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 06:57, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I believe that I myself wrote about this discrepancy in Oct 2022 in the BTS. Since we cannot determine if it's an in-universe clerical error on Abstergo's part or an accidental developer oversight from Ubisoft, I think we should leave both it and similarly-troubled Desmond pack as they are. – Darman (talk) 13:46, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
John Standish easter egg[edit source]
Should we include the message you can only find by datamining:
- [Laugh intro...] Hey,[laugh] You clever little hacker, you found me! Well, congratu-fuckinglations. I suppose you expect some sort of reward now. Some sort of validation for having more free time than the rest of us. And now its only a matter of time before you post this somewhere on the internet for all your little followers to hear, and you'll sit back and revel in their faint, slobbering praise while enjoying your fifteen megabytes of fame, and then... and then... what exactly? Uh?[beat] Nothing. Nothing at all. Because your life hasn't changed. And you're still a disgusting human. And you're going to die... eventually. And on your deathbed, you'll remember this message and think to yourself... by God, John was right... I should have been an astronaut. And you know what? You'll be right. You should have been an astronaut. For there's nothing worth seeing or saving down here. But out there... Oh... So much possibility. Oh well... I hope it's painless.
Unlike cut dialogue this is meant for the players to hear. It theoretically could have been found by the analyst (or even Erudito or Initiates). Lacrossedeamon (talk) 07:35, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
