Background for name?[edit source]

I wonder if the name of this area has something to do with Ariadne? According to at least one story, she ended up as a (victim of) maenad(s), the 'frenzied followers' of Dionysus. Sadelyrate (siniath) 19:33, October 19, 2018 (UTC)

I think it’s just Naxos is in general seen as a holy place for Dionysus, nothing in specific tied to Ariadne, at least not for this location. The shipwreck to the Southwest of Naxos also refers to another Dionysus myth. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 21:06, October 19, 2018 (UTC)
And yet, the island has a region called "Ariadne's Fate", and the island is tied to that particular myth. There are those who consider that Minotaurus, to whom Ariadne had been promised, was in fact Dionysus. Sadelyrate (siniath) 21:13, October 19, 2018 (UTC)
I know; that was my trivia point addition. I’m just saying I think the devs were looking to make references to Dionysus alone with this place name rather than Ariadne. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 21:22, October 19, 2018 (UTC)
