Merge[edit source]
Shouldn't this just be merged with Great Heathen Army? The Summer Army was merely the early invading force. V i l k a T h e W o l f (talk) 10:59, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- The Sons of the Ragnar were the first batch of Vikings that invaded England in 865, then the Summer Army followed in 871 before both factions converged and joined forces. Given the Sons of Ragnar also has its own article, I would say it deserves its own article in its own right, being sub-articles of the Great Heathen Army in general XOdeyssusx (talk) 12:16, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- We also seem to be treating the Great Heathen Army as an event rather than faction and the Sons of Ragnar use different heraldry from what Guthram and Soma use. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 12:54, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- That seems to be because we were following according as to what the Wikipedia article uses, which was sort of an event and organization at once. I would think it would be better suited if we dont follow Wiki completely and make it purely as a faction article on its own. XOdeyssusx (talk) 13:29, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- I actually prefer the current set up because otherwise there isn’t a good name for the conflict and we can use the Great Heathen Army as a war/campaign page. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 14:44, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
