Possibly framed[edit source]

This is an ongoing discussion.

I'm not actually finding anything in what we have of AC Memories that outright says Kotarō was Hanzō's killer. The cards name him and say the men had a rivalry...but that's it. "Last Days of the Taikō" currently implies that he's the culprit, but the unfinished transcript leaves the mystery unsolved. Neither Kotarō's nor Hanzō's JP WP pages mention each other, with JP saying Hanzō died of illness. Further, not only does Kotarō's ENG WP page say that his killing Hanzō is "a popular but fictional story"—citing James Bond stunt choreographer and martial artist author Donn F. Draeger's 1981 ninjutsu manual and a 2008 book by a "Joel Levy", whose credentials I am unsure about—this cited fact was still there on 22 August 2014, which predates this page's creation on 6 Sept 2014. Did Sima just miss that info or does Memories actually blame Kotarō? I doubt there are active editors who played Memories and recall how "Taikō" ended, though, or else it would have been completed. – Darman (talk) 20:15, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

I know for a fact that Sima played through Memories, so my guess is the "Last Days of the Taikō" did name him as the killer back then. - Soranin (talk) 20:46, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
