Some Advice Please

Hello, as i'm new to this wiki stuff ect. I'm after some advise i suppose. An addition I made was removed or deleted from this (Edward Teach's) page with the note (let it be as it os for now). I just wondered why? As on the page it says that it is a stub and is in need of expansion and that was what i was doing, adding relevent infomation about the character to the page and expanding it.

Is not his birth place just as important to the page as his place of death is? (which is stated on the page and hasn't been removed).

The information was probably removed because it reflect the real world Edward Teach, and not his IU counterpart. Because the characters of AC live radically different lives to those individuals they are based on, simply adding information from Wikipedia will almost always see it being removed. --Jasca Ducato _{Council Chamber} ^{Assassination record} 12:58, March 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ed Thatch aka Assassin Mentor

In a video from the official site Blackbeard was named as Kenway's Mentor.

I like to see that Ed Thatch was named as an Assassin and as an Assassin Mentor.

Charlestown link is incorrect

Charlestown is linked incorrectly, it's linked towards the part of Boston, while Thatch actually sieged Charlestown, South Carolina -- GalakFyarr

Last name

I have a question about Edward Thatch's name. I know you guys just put whatever the game information has and not what the real world has so im not asking you to change it or anything. My question is why is his last name "Thatch" shoulden't it be teach there is no evidence in the real world that he had this name, so why is Thatch in the game? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.226.85.124 (talk)

There's also no evidence of his surname being Teach. His last name is unknown and has several different ones linked to him. Stormbeast ♉ ^{The Helpful Place} 03:02, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

There was one piece noting him as "Teach", but that was an obscure reference in AC3, which didn't focus on the time period of his life. When it comes to Blackbeard, AC4 is more prevalent and the Ubisoft developers went with "Thatch", so Thatch it remains. Slate Vesper (talk) 03:12, April 14, 2014 (UTC)
