Alternative for entity[edit source]
Entity sounds so incredibly weird in the context of a dwarf, an AI would be an entity for me, or something that lives in magic, not something with a physical form. I agree creature doesn't sound good either. How about humanoid? Kennyannydenny (talk) 18:44, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- I see what you mean. I don't think entity is the perfect word to use either although it is not actually wrong. We humans ourselves are entities, but it is like you said entity connotes something whose nature is uncertain, like an AI or magical being. By the popular, contemporary idea of a dwarf, the best way to describe them would be as a species, a sapient species. But going off of this article alone, it seems that the nature of dwarves in Assassin's Creed are unknown. It sounds like this article is about dwarfs as they were originally presented in folklore. Dwarfs in folklore, unlike dwarves in contemporary high fantasy, were sometimes actually thought of as beings who lived in magic. Some tales feared them as spirits of death, heralding disaster for miners. So I agree that we should think of a better word than entity if we can. I just am not sure how we intend to describe dwarfs in this article. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 22:50, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
