Game vs Book conflict

This is an ongoing discussion.

In game this is where we first see Kjotve (assumedly after fleeing Hafrsfjord) in Avaldsnes but historically and in Geirmund's Saga this was the seat of Hjorr Halfsson. The game makes no mention of this either in dialogue or database (although there is an oblique reference via the leading dynasty which was based in Avaldsnes at the time). Could it have changed hands between the two between the events of Geirmund's Saga and the beginning of Valhalla? What is the exact chronology we're dealing with? Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 22:00, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

For the book all scenes in Avaldsnes take place a few years before Valhalla happens IIRC and I don't think Valhalla even connects Hjorr to Avaldsnes in any manner nor does the book ever mention them losing it to Kjotve.
