Non canon

I'm not sure. The closest I can find at the moment is this Ubisoft forums thread by Sorrosyss of Access the Animus saying the comics are non-canon. I'm pretty sure they're definitely non-canon, though, since Chapter 6 says that the work of Seijin's mother Christie alone helped perfect the Animus, when all other AC media attributes the device to Warren Vidic, and I can't see Ubisoft easily retconning something so long established in a short manga not everyone can/will read without a large part of fandom voicing displeasure. – Darman (talk) 17:21, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

I wouldn't consider that a hard retcon. While Vidic is the major name attached to the Animus project it would be weird if he didn't have underlings that didn't also contribute in major ways. Christie could have been the person to make the breakthrough that allowed non descendants to relive memories. I feel the non-canon designation is more from this not being referenced in any other AC media and from what I've read the sessions with Edward don't really match up with the game.
