Death date[edit source]

1754 or 1755? Which do we go with? Is it possible they retconned the date given in AC3 (the 1755 date comes from the gravestones, yes?) in ACRogue, or is it just an oversight? (This goes for little Connor as well of course - I thought it better to keep the discussion to this page though) Crook The Constantine District 15:41, November 26, 2014 (UTC)

As far as I am aware no events actually transpire in 1754 in Rogue, so I'd say it's an oversight and it should actually say "1754" in the game. I find it hard to believe they'd retcon a tombstone. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 13:41, November 27, 2014 (UTC)

As the BTS section states the memory that mentions Abigail dead is set in 1754 but this contradicts the tombstone and even achille's database entry in rogue. What should take precedence here? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 08:30, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
I'm assuming you are referring to the memory "One Little Victory". This should take precedence over the gravestone, which can be interpreted as an in-universe error as a first recourse (reconciling IU facts should always be attempted before treating something as a retcon). Mistaken dates do happen in real-world gravestones. My own grandmother's gravestone reads the wrong year of birth although the error is more understandable in her case since she did not use the Gregorian calendar in her childhood, grew up in a time of war where documents were lost, ended up messing up the conversion by a year, and it's easier to mess up a birth year than a death year. I don't know how Achilles could have been off by a year for when his wife and son died, but there's no possible way to move "One Little Memory" to 1755, especially since it precedes the 1754 Albany Congress. We have to treat what we see in the Animus as revealing the real history. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 15:54, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

She "chose" the name Abigail, or was her "real" name Abigail? Give me some context, since other pages contradict this. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 03:01, December 22, 2014 (UTC)

"I asked for her name. She told me that she had just been baptized Angelique-Denise, and before that, she had another name given to her by another master. I told her that as she no longer had a master, her freedom would begin by choosing a name for herself. She laughed - she has the most delightful laugh! - then she told me that her name was Abigail."
