Swordfish Spear

The Swordfish Spear was a spear used in the Octopus Bay in the 5th century BCE Greece. Whether inspired by the fish itself, or by the man known only as the Swordfish, none could tell, for both were just as fearsome and deadly.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra's attention was drawn by the wails of a fisherman's wife in the town of Heraklion in Messara. Worried about her husband, the wife asked Kassandra to look for her husband. In return for saving him, Kassandra was given the Swordfish Spear in addition to information about the man who held the whole bay in terror.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Swordfish Spear, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found War Spear, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of Cyrene's Spear, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
