Stór Mylna

Stór Mylna (Runic: ᛋᛏᚬᛦ ᛘᛁᛚᚾᛅ) was a silica mylna in eastern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion, the mill was taken over by Muspel warriors and was surveyed by the warlord Surtr's daughter, Eysa.
History[edit | edit source]
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi traveled to the mylna to find Eysa as a means to trade her for the return of his son Baldr. Above the mylna, he searched the lava pools and eventually found Eysa. Tensions arose as they fought each other, only for Eysa to be bested. However, a dwarven miner interrupted Havi's questioning and Eysa escaped. Havi asked the dwarf of his information as the miner showed elven symbols in a cave. The miner translated it to a vault found between two mountains as Havi left to find it. [1] While at the mylna, Havi and his einherjar crew raided it and pillaged four silica pillars.[2]
