Skandeia Harbor was a port and harbor located on the southeastern coast of Kythera Island, Greece. Notable points of interest included the Phoinikeos Customs Warehouse and the Skandeia Treasury.
In classical antiquity, the harbor had a strategic role in controlling maritime trade with states located in the southern Aegean, especially with Egypt and Libya.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the harbor was visited by the misthios Kassandra. There, she across a woman crying for aid to locate her fisherman husband who had gone off to hunt lynxes for drachmae. Kassandra accepted her request and went off to look for him in a nearby cave.[2]
