Prince's Palace

The Prince's Palace was a palace in Baghdad, located on the bank of the Tigris river in the Harbiyah district.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim ibn Ishaq accepted a contract from the Zanj rebel Beshi, who revealed that one of Caliph al-Musta'in's favorite concubines was being held prisoner at the palace after being outed as a rebel spy. Basim infiltrated the palace, where he assassinated the captain holding the concubine captive and rescued her.[1]
