Pannouki Hideout

From the Assassin's Creed Wiki

The Pannouki Hideout was a bandit hideout situated in Faiyum, Egypt, during the 1st century BCE. It was used by the Cult of Wadjet as their base of operations, where they conducted sacrificial rituals in honor of the Egyptian snake-goddess Wadjet.

History[edit | edit source]

In 48 BCE, Sheshanka, the leader of the cult, had Nanefer the orator from Soknopaiou Nesos kidnapped and brought to the hideout, where he was to be sacrificed for their ritual. However, he was saved by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who had learned of the location in the Wadjet's Burrow beneath the town.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The hideout's appearance and location is likely based on the Abu Deir Lifa, a series of rock-like formations in Faiyum.
