The Newport Tower is a round stone tower located in Newport, Rhode Island. Underneath the structure runs a system of catacombs.[1]

In 1784, the Templar doctor Edmund Judge used the Newport Tower as a base of operations. After having freed Patience Gibbs from Judge's custody, the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré killed the Templar inside the tower in order to reclaim Gibbs' charm, a Piece of Eden.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The real-life tower appears to be much larger than its in-game counterpart.
  • Though commonly considered to have been a 17th century windmill, it's been theorized that the structure is several centuries older. One such theory claims that the tower was built by Scottish Templars after their alleged arrival in North America in 1398.
