Lynch family
The Lynch family is a family of Assassins that consisted of Joseph Lynch, Mary Lynch, and their son Callum Lynch.
History[edit | edit source]
Kidnapped by Abstergo[edit | edit source]
On 21 September 1979, Callum was born to his parents Mary and Joseph, who were both Assassins, in Alcalde, New Mexico. At some point, they moved to Baja California, Mexico. In 1986, Mary and Joseph learned that Abstergo had tracked them down to their home as they wanted to use Mary's ancestral bloodline to Aguilar de Nerha and his connection to an Apple of Eden.[1]

Faced with a tough option, Mary had Joseph help her commit suicide and ensure their own son's death to stop the Templars from getting their blood. However, when Joseph saw his son Callum return from bike-riding, he could not bring himself to kill him and ordered him to run away, moments before Abstergo arrived and captured Joseph. Subsequently forced to relive his ancestors' memories in the Animus, Joseph resisted and suffered neurological damage, becoming blind.[1]
Prisoners[edit | edit source]
Callum became an orphan after running away from home and grew up believing his father had killed his mother. As an adult, he developed a hatred for men who hurt women. However, this principle landed him in jail due to his murder of a pimp who was beating his underage prostitute. He was later sentenced to death for his criminal history, but Abstergo faked his execution and had him sent to their facility in Madrid.[1]
Met by both Alan Rikkin and his daughter Sofia, Callum was initially convinced to aid the Templar cause after Alan showed him both his father, who was also held captive at the facility, and Joseph's Hidden Blade. After Callum confronted his father, he entered the Animus and helped the Templars learn the location of Aguilar's Apple of Eden.[1]
Escape[edit | edit source]

After Callum's work was done, a group of Assassin prisoners mutined in order to stop the Templars from acquiring the Apple. However, Alan left with Sofia and ordered the execution of all the prisoners. Joseph, holding his blade given by Callum to take his own life, fought and took down some Abstergo guards before being overwhelmed and killed.[1]
Elsewhere, while Callum was still connected to the Animus, his ancestors, including his parents, manifested in front of him as he came to terms with his mother's death and forgave Joseph. After reciting the Creed, Callum pledged his allegiance to the Assassins and helped his fellow prisoners take down the remaining Abstergo guards. In the end, he, Moussa, and Lin survived the onslaught and escaped the facility.[1]
Trip to London[edit | edit source]
On 14 December 2016,[2] Callum and his fellow Assassins tracked down the Apple and the Rikkins to Holborn Hall, London, where Alan Rikkin began a demonstration showcasing the Apple. Callum confronted Sofia about not completing her own goals of stopping aggression and violence, but she stated she could not help Callum anymore.[1]
While Alan activated the Apple in front of his fellow Templars, Callum used his blade and slit Rikkin's throat before taking back the Apple. Escaping with a light outage, he and his fellow Assassins recovered the Apple and struck a devastating blow to both Abstergo and Sofia, who vowed revenge for the death of her father.[1]
