In the late 9th century, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir followed a clue, from The Wren's personal effects. The clue detailed of a ritual site between Lough Rea and Lough Tuam, concerning the affairs of "The Ash."[1] Throughout her journey in Ireland, Eivor destroyed a cursed symbol near the middle of the lake.[2]
