Kazem

Kazem was a Sogdian caravan leader, active in the Silk Road during the late 9th century.

In 870, Kazem's caravan from Antioch to Chang'an was joined by a group of Hidden Ones passing themselves off as merchants. During the trip, Kazem talked much with Oisel and even thought him Sogdian.

Personality and traits

Kazem was described as an old man whose face bore the marks of the sands and winds of the Silk Road. He was fluent in Sogdian, but spoke little Arabic.
