Jonathan Ferguson was a Son of Liberty spy that worked for the Patriots during the American Revolution.

Biography

In 1775, Ferguson was betrayed by informant Aidan Galway and was subsequently captured by the British Army while taking coded dispatches to Concord. Under the orders of Major Rawle, he was arrested and due to be hanged in Fort Independence, Boston, for conspiring against the army. As Ferguson stood to be hanged, Rawle addressed the crowd, explaining Ferguson's charges when the Major was suddenly killed by Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton, with the distraction allowing Achilles Davenport's allies to remove Ferguson from the scene while the guards went after the killer.

The following year, as the Siege of Boston continued, Ferguson remained in Boston working with who he believed were fellow Patriots, though unbeknownst to him were actually a Templar cell. While meeting with an informant, they were interrupted by Ratonhnhaké:ton who had come to inform him that General Henry Knox would begin shelling the city that very night and suggested that he leave Boston before that happened. Their talk, however, was also interrupted, this time, by the British starting hostilities before Knox could. Ferguson decided to leave, but directed his ally to an old brewery, where he could take cover, along with the other "Patriots".
