Ji Wen was a government official in the Tang court, being a trusted ally of General An Lushan. In 754, An Lushan requested to Emperor Xuanzong that Ji Wen be appointed as vice minister of the War Ministry (武部侍郎) and vice imperial censor (御史中丞), so that Ji Wen would be in the capacity to serve as his lieutenant.[1]
